The short version
Sprig stores all of your financial data locally on your device. We do not have access to your expenses, income, or categories — ever. The only data we collect is anonymous usage analytics to help us improve the app.
What we collect
Financial data: Nothing. All expenses, income entries, and categories you create are stored in a SQLite database on your device only. This data never leaves your phone.
Account information: Sprig currently does not require an account. We collect no names, email addresses, or passwords.
Usage analytics: We use PostHog to collect anonymous, aggregated data about how features are used — for example, which screens are visited and how often. This data does not include your financial information, and it cannot be used to identify you personally.
How your data is stored
Your financial data lives in a SQLite database on your device. It is not uploaded to any server, not backed up to the cloud, and not accessible to us or any third party. Deleting the app removes all of your data permanently.
Third parties
The only third-party service we use is PostHog for anonymous analytics. We do not use advertising networks, data brokers, or any other tracking services. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
Your choices
If you would like to opt out of analytics collection, please contact us and we will disable it for your installation. Uninstalling Sprig removes all locally stored data from your device.
