The short version
Sprig stores all of your financial data locally on your device. We do not have access to your expenses, income, or categories — ever. The only data we collect is anonymous usage analytics to help us improve the app.
What we collect
Financial data: Nothing. All expenses, income entries, and categories you create are stored in a SQLite database on your device only. This data never leaves your phone.
Account information: Sprig works fully without an account. If you choose to create one, we collect your email address to authenticate your account and enable cross-device sync. We do not collect your name or payment information.
Usage analytics: We use PostHog to collect anonymous, aggregated data about how features are used — for example, which screens are visited and how often. This data does not include your financial information, and it cannot be used to identify you personally.
How your data is stored
Your financial data lives in a SQLite database on your device. Without an account, it never leaves your phone.
If you create an account and enable sync, your data is also stored on our servers to support cross-device access and backup. You can delete your account and all associated server-side data at any time by contacting us.
Third parties
The only third-party service we use is PostHog for anonymous analytics. We do not use advertising networks, data brokers, or any other tracking services. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
Your choices
If you would like to opt out of analytics collection, please contact us and we will disable it for your installation. Uninstalling Sprig removes all locally stored data from your device.
